A Timeline of Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner’s Relationship

After four years of marriage and two children together, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have filed for divorce. The Jonas Brothers singer submitted his divorce petition on September 5, stating that his union with the Game of Thrones actress is “irretrievably broken.”

News of their divorce came as a surprise to many, as the couple had shown no public signs of marital troubles. Turner had frequently shared photos of her and Jonas at Jonas Brothers concerts, and they playfully interacted on social media. In the days leading up to the divorce filing, Jonas was seen wearing his wedding ring onstage and even posted a photo of himself wearing his wedding band just hours before the news broke.

Despite the end of their romantic journey, Jonas and Turner had their share of sweet moments during their relationship. They met in 2016 when Jonas reached out to Turner via Instagram direct message, a move that ultimately led to their deep connection. Turner admitted that before meeting Jonas, she had not been a fan of the Jonas Brothers but changed her mind after their encounter.

“We talked for hours, and hours, and hours. And I was, like, not bored. It wasn’t contrived. It wasn’t small talk — it was just so easy,” Turner said of their initial meeting. “And soon we were, like, inseparable. I went on tour with him.”

Their relationship progressed quickly from there, culminating in two weddings in 2019, a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas followed by an elegant celebration in France. The couple also welcomed two children during their time together.

While their love story has now come to an end, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner will continue to co-parent their children and move forward with their separate lives.
