Crisfield Man Found Dead with Gunshot Wounds

Maryland, (Qnnflash) – The Maryland State Police are actively investigating the passing of a 34-year-old individual in Crisfield.

The man has been identified as Kevin Lamont Jackson, aged 34, and he was a resident of Crisfield. The precise cause and circumstances surrounding his demise are pending the completion of an autopsy, which is set to be conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, as stated by the authorities.

Reportedly, Jackson was discovered within a vehicle close to 2:30 a.m. on the 20th of August, situated in the 100 block of Somers Cove. The Crisfield Police Department reported that an officer spotted the vehicle, parked off the road, while conducting a routine patrol in the vicinity of Charlotte Avenue.

Upon approaching the vehicle, law enforcement personnel found Jackson situated in the driver’s seat, and he had sustained gunshot wounds. In response to this incident, technicians from the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division were dispatched to the scene to process and gather evidence, subsequent to obtaining a search warrant.

The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken the lead in the investigation at the request of the Crisfield Police Department. Collaborative efforts for the investigation have also been extended by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland Gun Center, and the Somerset County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Authorities are appealing to individuals who may have witnessed the incident or possess information relevant to the case to come forward and provide their assistance.
