Dream Debut For Harry Kane As Bayern Munich Smash Werder 4-0

(Qnnflash) – Harry Kane had a dream Bundesliga debut as he scored Bayern Munich’s second goal (74′) in a 4-0 triumph over Werder Bremen on Friday. The match also saw Leroy Sané (4′ & 90′) and Mathys Tel (94′) find the net. This victory follows Bayern’s recent 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup.

Reflecting on his debut, Kane expressed his excitement, stating, “It was fantastic… I couldn’t wait to get out there and get started. It started well with the goal early on, but it was a tough game; we created good chances, but we lacked the final product,” in an interview with Sky Sports.

According to Opta, Kane joins the ranks of just a few English players to have scored on their Bundesliga debut, following in the footsteps of former Hoffenheim forward Reiss Nelson. Kane’s impact wasn’t limited to his goal; he also provided an assist to Sané for the opening goal. His contribution helped Bayern achieve a decisive victory, much to the delight of their fans. However, there were some notable challenges. Bremen’s high defensive line and lack of pace led to Bayern’s opener being a gift.

The absence of speed also hindered Bremen’s ability to disrupt Bayern’s control in the early stages of the second half. Although Bayern dominated the first 45 minutes, Bremen’s determined efforts after halftime made the game more competitive.
