Four Baltimore City schools release early due to mechanical issues

Four Baltimore City Public Schools released students early today due to mechanical issues, according to a tweet from BCPSS.

The schools affected by the early release were Curtis Bay Elementary/Middle School, Furley Elementary School, Vanguard Collegiate Middle School, and middle school grades at NAF. Curtis Bay and Furley released students at 11:30 a.m., Vanguard Collegiate Middle School at 11:45 a.m., and middle school grades at NAF at 12:45 p.m.

To ensure that students wouldn’t go hungry, take-home meals were provided at each of the campuses. However, as of now, there is no information available regarding the specific nature of the mechanical issues that led to the early release.
